Roomwake keeps ringing until you finish a mission you can't finish in bed. Persistence, not proof — nothing here measures anything, and the app doesn't claim to.

Free, with no purchase and no card: hearing the alarm (“Test the alarm” on the home screen plays the real thing), browsing and setting up every mission, and the sound picker with previews of all seven sounds.
Roomwake Plus is what lets you actually arm an alarm for the morning. It's an auto-renewable subscription, sold weekly or yearly, and the exact price for your country is shown on the subscription screen inside the app before you buy anything.
The weekly plan starts with a 3-day free trial. The subscription screen tells you the exact date your first payment will be taken and the exact amount, before you buy. The yearly plan has no trial — it bills immediately — and the screen says so when you pick it.
The trial is available once per Apple Account. If you've subscribed to Roomwake before, or someone in your Family Sharing group has, the app will show you the plain weekly price instead of a trial — it reads your eligibility from Apple rather than assuming it.
If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown. Cancel any time from Settings → your name → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
If you cancel, an alarm you already armed keeps ringing. Roomwake will never silence an alarm because a subscription lapsed — a missed morning is a far worse outcome than a missed payment. What you can't do without an active subscription is set a new alarm or change an existing one. Deleting an alarm is always free.
Open Roomwake, pick a mission — steps, floor-change, or photo-of-place — set your wake time, and finish. Roomwake plays the alarm through its own audio and keeps a backup system alarm scheduled underneath, so it still rings if the app is force-quit.
Steps asks you to walk a set number of steps, including a stretch of unbroken walking — stopping restarts that stretch. Floor-change asks you to go up or down a floor and stay there; it reads air pressure, so it needs stairs. Photo-of-place asks you to photograph a spot you registered during setup.
None of these can tell for certain that you left the room — steps can be faked by shaking the phone, a photo can be taken of a photo. They're chosen because they're awkward to do from bed, not because they're impossible to cheat. The thing Roomwake actually guarantees is that it doesn't stop on its own.
Every mission needs a sustained signal, not a single reading — that's deliberate, so one lucky sample from the nightstand can't dismiss the alarm. Give it the full unbroken window (the app tells you how many seconds on the setup screen) before assuming something's wrong. If the sensor a mission needs isn't available at wake time, Roomwake falls back to your backup mission rather than stopping.
There is no emergency dismiss inside the app — finishing the mission is the only way Roomwake stops itself. That's the point of it, and it's stated before you set your first alarm.
If you genuinely can't complete the mission, force-quit Roomwake from the app switcher. iOS always allows that and Roomwake can't prevent it.
Tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen — it's there in every state of that screen, including when prices fail to load. Use the same Apple Account you subscribed with.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Roomwake.
